Many considers The Joffrey Ballet as ‘America’s Company of Firsts’ by virtue of the fact that the company’s always gone where nobody’s gone before, never afraid of making bold and daring moves. The company is also the first dance company that was offered to perform at the White House, all thanks to an invitation from Jacqueline Kennedy. Joffrey Ballet was also the first classical dance company to go on television and also to bring on a rock n’ roll ballet. The venue is also used by Chicago Philharmonic.

While their dance season for ‘Contemporary Choreographers’ just finished up the lineup of shows, coming right up would be the ‘Masters of Dance’ program which will feature Krzysztof Pastor’s interpretation of contemporary Romeo and Juliet.

When it comes to variety, very few dance companies and theatres can be Dance in Chicago. Sometimes, our Chicago bus charter customers claim confusion whenever trying to decide on a show that they want to watch. The variety that Dance in Chicago often showcases are:-

  • jazz
  • baroque
  • soul
  • folk
  • Spanish
  • Serbian
  • classical and many more...

There is a very good reason behind The Harris’ variety and it lies in the fact that the theatre acts as a bridge that merges and joins the hands of various mid-sized performing arts centers and organizations. What these organizations lack is, sometimes, just proper space for practice and Dance in Chicago provides the space on top of expertise and a vibrant marketing engine.
